The Butte County Recovery Community Meeting planned for tonight at the Pleasant Valley High School Performing Arts Center at 7pm, is canceled. Due to the extension of the Flash Flood Warning, the recent heavy rain activity, the areas currently under an evacuation orders/warnings, and the advisement of the Butte County Sheriff to stay off the roadways, this meeting will be postponed.
Flash flooding is impacting areas near Chico and Durham, see http://www.ButteCounty.net for details on evacuations and road closures. Motorist should avoid flooded areas. Residents in the area should stay off the roads if they are in a safe location.
