Disaster CalFresh food benefits are available.
Even if you are not eligible for CalFresh food benefits, you may be eligible for Disaster CalFresh food benefits.
You may be eligible for Disaster CalFresh food benefits if you lived or worked in Butte County September 7-October 6, and:
Spent money because of the wildfire, including paying for a hotel, gas, or other evacuation expenses; or
Lost food because of the wildfire or a related power outage; or
Lost money from work because of the wildfire; or
Spent money because of damage to your home or business
How do I apply?
You can PRE-REGISTER for Disaster CalFresh food benefits by phone between October 21-23 and October 26-27!
Call or text (916)602-3313 to pre-register between October 21-23 and October 26-27.
If you pre-register, Butte County will contact you by phone between October 28 and November 5 to complete the Disaster CalFresh application and interview process.
If approved, Butte County will tell you when and where to pick up your EBT card, which you will use like a debit card to purchase food.
You do not have to PRE-REGISTER. Pre-registration is not the same as an application. If you choose not to pre-register, you can still apply for Disaster CalFresh food benefits between October 28-30 and November 2-5.
