This shelter is open and supported by the American Red Cross: Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, 2357 Fair Street in Chico

Shelter Policies
The American Red Cross standard shelters rules are in effect at the Red Cross shelter at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds for both those staying in the building and those staying at the camping/RV areas. The one exception is that those staying in the camping/RV areas may have their animals with them instead of the animal shelter. Anyone at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds found with alcohol, drugs or weapons will be asked to leave. If they do not comply, the sheriff will remove them from the site.
