Disaster Case Managers Available to Work With Fire Victims on Long-Term Recovery Needs
ROC (Rebuilding Our Community) Sonoma County has established a team of Disaster Case Managers who will meet with clients on an individual basis. An initial meeting will be used to determine eligibility and what support ROC partners can provide.
The first step will be to complete a needs assessment, which consists of a brief set of questions and basic demographic information. This needs assessment will allow case managers to identify your individual or family’s long term recovery needs. If eligible, then a dedicated Disaster Case Manager will be assigned to assist you throughout the recovery process.
ROC Sonoma County is a collaborative network that addresses the long-term recovery needs related to the disastrous 2017 Sonoma County Fires.
The ROC Sonoma County Resource Center is located at 141 Stony Circle, Suite 204, in Santa Rosa.
City of Santa Rosa Ad Hoc Committee for Community Support
In response to the many generous offers being made to the City of Santa Rosa, Mayor Chris Coursey has appointed Councilman Tom Schwedhelm to chair a special Ad Hoc Committee for Community Support. Additional committee members include council members John Sawyer and Chris Rogers.
The Committee is charged with coordinating the overwhelming amount of immediate support that has already been pledged, developing a long-term strategy to secure and direct resources, and to address needs as they develop during the recovery and rebuild effort. The efforts of the Committee are meant to complement the numerous activities and responses that have emerged throughout the community.

Community-Organized Recovery Efforts:
Simple, nimble and bilingual, this community-powered disaster relief platform matches individual real-time needs to resources in our community. Fire victims can easily use the site to log a need for assistance, goods or services and community members can offer a donation or sign up to volunteer. This is a locally-managed website that facilitates collaboration between local organizations, government, and volunteers to help fire victims meet their individual needs without delay.
